Wednesday, October 1: While walking around NYC, I realized that it was colder than I expected it would be. Since all my heavy coats were in storage, I bought a brown corduroy jacket at DKNY. While walking up West Broadway, I saw a cute girl working in a shoe store. I went in and struck up a conversation. Later that night Fanny (from Spain) and I went to dinner at Café Le Femme in Soho. Thursday, October 2: Fanny and I hung out this afternoon. We took the subway to the Upper East Side where we went to the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum. We toured the permanent exhibit as well as checking out the temporary show called “Solos: SmartWrap.” This outdoor exhibit “Represents the building façade of the future by integrating into one advanced composite the traditionally segregated functions contained in a typical wall.” Friday, October 3: I went with Nadine (friend from DC who moved to NYC) to a dance club called, Cielo. It is suppose to be one of the hottest clubs in the city. Saturday, October 4: Awoke in at my B&B in the West Village. I took the subway to the Upper West Side. I went to the American Museum of Natural History, where I saw “Passport to the Universe,” a space show narrated by Tom Hanks. I had dinner with Julie at café Ino on Bedford near 6th Avenue. Sunday, October 5: This morning I drove from NYC to DC for Yom Kippur. Upon arriving in DC, I stopped by my parents, to speak with my father. My friend, Alex Boyar, was kind enough to let me stay at his place for a couple of days. I attended Yom Kippur evening services at Washington Hebrew with my Mom, my brother – Neal, his wife – Sharyn, Sharyn’s sister – Dana, and Sharyns’ parents – Roy and Carol.
